The successful candidate will lead the industrial design team and be responsible for product concepts and industrial design in development programs serving world-class customers.
Responsibilities
Leads the industrial design team and participate in new product concept generation, feasibility study, industrial design and product definition for new product programs according to requirements from customers
Responsible for resources planning and allocations as well as supporting business development
Develops industrial design capability according to business needs and facilitates competence development of team members
Requirements
Degree in Design or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial design for consumer electronics or healthcare industry, preferable with R&D environment
Experience in study of market trends and consumer needs, new concept and idea generation, feasibility study and product definition
Knowledge in manufacturing processes and decoration technologies for consumer electronics products
Proficient in CAD tools and various computer applications for industrial design
Familiar with practice and process of design patent application
Good understanding of Concurrent Engineering process and FMEA
Strong in project planning, creative & innovative thinking
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Good command of spoken and written Chinese, English and Mandarin
Frequent Travel is required
